We live in an era when aging well is no longer enough. Aging adults aspire more than ever, to enhance and extend their healthspan – the number of years they feel healthy, active and vital in both body and mind.
Aviv Clinic is proud to launch its new center that utilizes Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at its core, to improve the aging process by increasing cognitive and physical performance in healthy aging adults. Enhanced memory, improved cognitive skills, better physical performance, increased energy, and improved sexual performance, are just some of the benefits patients may experience from Aviv’s medical program.
Our brain is our source of power, the central “command center” of our body, memories and emotions. However, as we age, our brain and body can become a roadblock to living our lives to the fullest, even when we are healthy.
Aviv Clinic is introducing a multi-disciplinary and scientifically tested program which combines unique Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy protocols and personalized cognitive and physical training programs to improve memory, attention and other cognitive abilities as well as increase physical performance, energy and stamina.
The application of oxygen to improve performance is, in fact, a field of research that has received a lot of attention lately. In October 2019, the Nobel Prize for Medicine was awarded to three researchers for their discovery of how living cells sense and react to oxygen levels. The Aviv protocol utilizes the same concept using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
The Aviv protocol is designed to provide patients with optimal levels of oxygenation, and uses fluctuations in oxygen levels to stimulate the rejuvenation process.
Professor Shai Efrati, MD, is the leading researcher and clinician in the field of Hyperbaric medicine. The Aviv team, together with Professor Efrati who serves as its Chief Medical Officer, created the Aviv protocol at The Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Research at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, one of the world’s largest hyperbaric medicine facilities, having conducted over 200,000 hyperbaric sessions.
Over 1000 people have gone through the protocol, with the overwhelming majority reporting improved cognitive capabilities including memory, attention and speed of information processing, as well as improved physical performance, increased energy, vitality, sleep quality and sexual performance (for men).
Their experiences are supported by existing clinical research on the benefits of HBOT, but more robust studies are needed.(1)
The Aviv program is generally well-tolerated, although some patients may experience mild side effects like sinus pain or ear pressure.(2)
The Aviv Medical Program provides patients with an opportunity to invest in their brain and body, leveraging the latest research and technology to maximize quality of life and vitality as they age.
The program consists of daily HBOT treatments over the course of 12 weeks, combined with personalized cognitive and physical training, as well as in depth assessments before and after the treatment to ensure patients achieve the optimal cumulative improvement in brain and body performance.
